Station 26-101
Station History
26-101
In 1962 the property was acquired from Salesian Society (Marian Shrine) to build a 2-bay building on Hammond Road in the hamlet of Thiells, Town of Haverstraw. The original Firehouse was built by the members and eventually a 3rd drive thru bay and a day room were added. The Firehouse is dedicated to one of our Charter Members and Founding Fathers, Arthur Dresdner, who was the instrumental in the formation of the David B. Roche Volunteer Fire Company and became our first President. The sub station houses 26-Tanker (2014 Spartan ERV), 26-ATV (KME Ford F350 Super duty Brush Truck), 26-SR (2006 Ford E350 4X4), 2014 Zodiac, air compressor and home to our Dive Team.
