At approximately 17:52 hrs, we were dispatched to a smoke investigation outside in the area of Letchworth Village. While units canvassed the area, we discovered smoke coming from the third floor window of the old Power Plant. Upon further investigation, there was an active fire inside the vacant building.
Due to the buildings interior conditions, 26-command requested West Haverstraw’s FASTeam to respond to the scene. Units operated for approximately an hour and a half. BCI responded to the scene due to the cause being suspicious.
